Training topics listed are testimonial to our diversity and expertise. The secret to our success is Return On Investment (ROI) to our clients through the value of tailored instruction, professional courseware and personable climate of the training environment. Quality, relevance and applicability is our focus as we endeavor to develop training. Unlike traditional training courses, our training development is client driven. With input from the client, we gain insight on actual and/or perceived needs. From the needs of upper and middle management, to supervisors, to the worker, a survey is conducted to gain vital information into the issues needing to be addressed. We recommend survey coverage of as many employees as possible in order to draw the proper picture for development, coaching, mentoring and training. Safety has implications in any industry, and is absolutely a product of, and directly proportional to, leadership. It's not just about how a person does their job. In terms of safety, it is as much what they are focused on during that job. Without the proper mind set and focus, safety or technical training can be rendered useless. It only takes a split second lack of attention or laps in judgement to create the potential for disaster.
Please find below our course topics with a brief description.
This is a course designed to cover a vast array of topics with the intent of focusing on the needs of the customer. Unlike traditional courses, this course lends to canvassing the attendees for input on their actual and/or perceived needs, as well as the needs of upper management of the crew leaders in attendance. By requesting input from the trainees, we develop a rapport (relationship) with them, from the start, in an effort to gain their respect. Through demonstrating a genuine interest in their needs (respect), we begin to develop trust. This is where the rubber meets the road in terms of finding the real issues, so we can address them. This process will typically dictate the length of the course, influenced by surveys conducted, content requested by the client and recommendations made by LMCI staff.
How do we do this?
We start with the assessment, which includes the survey of personnel. Once the survey is completed and considered by management, topic choices are decided and the course is formed. There are core topics that will always be included.

Training for competency in any environment which requires the presentation of critical and non-critical information, must be done with both competence and confidence. If critical information is not properly presented, the consequences may include injuries, death and/or severe regulatory penalties. Non-critical information includes precepts or building blocks that may lead to critical consequences. In all aspects of training, information presented must be correct, accurate and complete.

Confined spaces are areas that cause unnecessary death to untrained and unsuspecting workers each year. Many of these victims are "would be" rescuers. Proper awareness training can prevent injury or death to fellow workers in the event a person is in need of rescue. Only Authorized Persons should be assigned to work in these areas and only Competent Persons should be assigned to supervise them. Our courses encompass training in each of these areas, in accordance with OSHA, ANSI/ASSE, and other regulatory standards.

Improper energy isolation claims the life of many workers each year. Understanding the various sources of energy and the need for isolation is key to preventing incidents and accidents. Energy isolation programs should have a comprehensive permit system and/or be included in the overall permitting process. Training on energy isolation and the permitting process should be provided to all effected employees, even if they are not directly involved in the isolation activities. Many incidents and accidents occur due to a lack of understanding or training in energy isolation. These incidents and accidents are often caused by employees that lack proper training in energy isolation or by untrained employees nearby that are not directly involved in the isolation or work process.
